Search continues for 4 suspects after deadly Pasco backyard shooting
Pasco police are searching for four suspects in connection with Wednesday’s fatal shooting in a Lewis Street backyard.
Detectives say the people ran after someone shot Luis Contreras, 29, of Pasco, several times.
Officers were called to 1901 Lewis Street shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday as neighbors heard as many as 10 gunshots ring out from behind the home, according to dispatch reports. When they arrived they found Contreras and another man who had been shot in the arm.
Another victim was found nearby.
People were seen fleeing toward a nearby Conoco gas station being built across the street and possibly getting into a white car. No other details have been released about the shooting.
An autopsy for Contreras is scheduled for Monday in Snohomish County since the pathologist isn’t traveling because of the coronavirus, said Franklin County Coroner Curtis McGary.
Contreras’ distraught fiancée posted on Facebook that he was soon to be a father.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Pasco police through the non-emergency dispatch number at 509-628-0333.
