25-year-old Kennewick woman found dead. Police want to know what happened

Update: Police have found her Jeep several blocks from her home

--------------------

Investigators believe a Kennewick woman was dead for several days before her roommate found her.

Police found Tessa West, 25, not breathing at the 2600 block of West Sixth Avenue at 2:38 a.m. Saturday, Kennewick police said in a statement. Emergency crews tried using CPR, but they couldn’t revive her.

The Benton County Coroner’s Office is helping with the investigation and trying to determine if an autopsy is necessary, said Coroner Bill Leach.

The circumstances around West’s death triggered a police investigation, Kennewick police said. They are trying to learn what she had been doing during recent weeks.

West said she worked as a waitress at The Pub, on her Facebook profile. She grew up in Grants Pass and graduated from Glendale High School in Glendale Ore.

Police are asking anyone with information that could help to contact officers through the non-emergency dispatch line at 509-628-0333, and reference Kennewick Police Department case 20-03370.
