Where are Memorial Day events in Tri-Cities? Find ceremonies in Richland, Pasco

Every year, communities across Tri-Cities gather to honor U.S. military members who died while serving their counties.

In 2026, there are multiple Memorial Day events in the region.

Where can I observe Memorial Day in Richland?

Sunset Gardens and Einan’s at Sunset Funeral Home is hosting a two-day Memorial Day Celebration honoring service members who died.

You can enjoy free hot dogs at Sunset Gardens, 915 Bypass Highway in Richland, on Sunday, May 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A formal ceremony will be held Monday, May 25, beginning at 11 a.m.

The program will include a keynote address by U.S. Marine Corps Major Gen. William Sauza, a drill presentation, a rifle salute and performances of “America the Beautiful” and “Taps.”

More than 1,200 flags will line the lanes of the cemetery, each featuring a veteran’s name, according to a news release from Sunset Gardens.

Following the ceremony, the event center will offer free hot dogs, snow cones, live music and face painting from noon to 2 p.m.

Where are Memorial Day ceremonies in Pasco?

Columbia River Gardens Cemetery, 224 South 24th Ave. in Pasco, will also hold a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday.

“The event, free and open to the public, honors both those who served our nation and all loved ones laid to rest,” the cemetery said in a news release.

The program will begin at 11 a.m. with a posting of colors by the honor guard, followed by a memorial reflection by a Veterans Association executive director and a balloon release with music.

Free hot dogs and drinks will be available from noon to 1 p.m.

Cemetery staff will be available from 1 to 1:30 p.m. to assist families with flag placement, grave location and other support, according to therelease.

The city of Pasco is hosting its annual Memorial Day ceremony.

Members of the public can gather at City View Cemetery, 1300 North Oregon Ave. in Pasco, at 11 a.m. Monday.

The ceremony will include remarks from Pasco Mayor Charles Grimm and a wreath presentation by George Curtis Scoggin, a Korean War veteran.

In addition, there will be live music by Vickie Evans and speeches from state Sen. Nikki Torres and Chris Littrell, a veteran, author and retired local law enforcement officer.

“Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend this meaningful tradition as Pasco comes together to remember, reflect and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice,” the city said in a news release.
