Tri-Cities Powerball player turns $3 into six-figure win. Where was ticket sold?

A Washington’s Lottery player in Tri-Cities is $100,000 richer after purchasing a winning Powerball ticket, according to lottery officials.

The Powerball player matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the Saturday, April 11, drawing to win $50,000, a Washington’s lottery spokesperson said.

The player then doubled their winnings by adding a Power Play multiplier, scoring six figures in all.

Where was the winning Powerball ticket sold?

The winning Powerball ticket was sold at the Kennewick Walmart at 2720 South Quillan St., according to the Washington’s Lottery spokesperson.

What were the winning Powerball numbers?

The winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing were 6, 47, 49, 53 and 60 with a Powerball of 6, according to Washington’s Lottery.

According to Washington’s Lottery, the odds of winning the $50,000 prize are one in 913,000.

As of Monday, April 13, the Powerball jackpot was $45 million, with a cash value of about $20.5 million.

Players have a one in 292 million chance of taking home this jackpot.

How does the Powerball lottery game work?
