A driver crashed into a home on the 5000 block of Wrigley Drive in Pasco early Friday morning.

Some neighbors were reportedly asked to evacuate their homes for a time while first responders investigated any danger from a gas leak.

A spokesperson for Cascade Natural Gas said the driver struck the side of a house with their car, severing a gas meter causing it to leak for about 40 minutes.

Utility workers were able to dig into a yard to find the underground shut off to make sure the area was safe.
