Update: Serious motorcycle crash shuts down Richland’s busy Gage Boulevard

Richland police are investigating what they called a serious motorcycle crash with a car about 6:50 a.m. Wednesday on Gage Boulevard.

The motorcycle was headed west on Gage Boulevard when a car stopped at the stop sign on Venus Circle began a left turn onto Gage Boulevard and hit the motorcycle, according to police.

The motorcycle was down in the westbound lanes of Gage Boulevard at Venus Circle near the Villas at Meadow Springs apartment complex when police responded.

First responders reported to emergency dispatchers that the driver of the motorcycle was conscious when they arrived.

Richland police posted on social media that the driver of the motorcycle had injuries that did not appear to be life threatening and was taken to a hospital. Their condition was not immediately available.

The westbound lanes of Gage Boulevard were closed from Bellerive Drive to the area of Venus Circle until around 10:30 a.m., according to a Richland police post on social media.
