A teen’s family needs help raising money to cover his funeral costs and to reunite him with his mom in Mexico.

Oscar Sanchez Cayetano, 19, of Kennewick, was admitted to Kadlec Regional Medical Center on June 4 after a car he was working on slipped off a jack and hit his head, said Benton County Coroner Bill Leach.

He died June 10.

Cayetano was born in Las Vegas. He lived in the Tri-Cities for about a year and worked as an HVAC technician, according to a death notice from Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation in Pasco.

A GoFundMe account was created by his sister, Marisol Sanchez, to help cover the cost to bury him and to transport his body back to his mother who lives in Mexico.

“We appreciate with all our heart any help and sharing this post,” she wrote in Spanish.

The family also organized a car wash along Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick over the weekend, according to her Facebook posts.
