Update: Tri-Cities man identified as victim in fatal West Richland motorcycle crash

One person is dead after a wreck between a motorcycle and an SUV in West Richland on Friday afternoon.

The victim was the driver of the motorcycle, Daniel Neil, 30, of Pasco, said Benton County Coroner Bill Leach on Saturday.

First responders received the call about a collision at Bombing Range Road and Mount Adams View Drive just before 1 p.m. on Friday.

West Richland police said the man on the motorcycle was traveling on Bombing Range Road when he collided with the SUV.

While the crash was just yards away from Benton County Fire District 4’s station, Chief Paul Carlyle said they were actually out on a fire call, so Richland Fire Department crews responded.

West Richland police said a second person was transported to a local hospital.
