Don’t show up at the Tri-Cities All Senior Picnic on Thursday. Here’s why
Update: The picnic has been rescheduled.
----------------------------------------------
The annual Tri-Cities All Senior Picnic that was expected to draw up to 1,000 people to Howard Amon Park in Richland Thursday will be rescheduled.
Organizers were concerned about air quality and made the decision to postpone Tuesday when air quality in the Tri-Cities was rated as unhealthy for all people.
On Wednesday, a southwest breeze helped clear the lingering smoke from much of Eastern Washington and returned the air quality in the Tri-Cities to a rating of good.
Those who already have purchased an advance admission button for it should hang onto it, says Active 4 Life, the sponsor of the picnic.
People are encouraged to wear Hawaiian outfits.
