Tri-Cities fire crews battled the second mini storage unit complex fire of the week on Saturday.

A blaze at Summit Storage just west of Kennewick gutted several storage units about 8 a.m. Saturday.

Benton County Fire District #1 said several firefighting units from various agencies were called to the complex at 9501 W. 10th Ave., on a hill between Clearwater Avenue and the Bob Olson Parkway.

A photo posted by the district on Twitter shows extensive damage to several units.

Another store unit complex in Kennewick was heavily damaged by fire on Wednesday.

Two units at the Southridge Storage at 6215 W. Brinkley Road burned and six others had smoke damage.

The cause of both fires remains under investigation.
