Authentic Cuban food coming to Richland. Food truck to open soon

Richland residents will no longer have to drive to Pasco when they are craving a traditional Cuban meal at Havana Cafe.

Cafe owner Leo Morales has rented space for a food truck near the Richland Uptown at 288 Williams Blvd.

He expects to open for business sometime the week of March 8.

The food truck will offer most of the authentic Cuban dishes served at the downtown Pasco restaurant, including its popular shredded beef, roasted pork and tomato-sauced chicken main dishes.

And there’s his Cuban sandwiches, black beans and rice and fried plantains.

He plans to be open each day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., although the truck may stay open later on weekends if there is a demand for it.

Morales, who grew up near Havana, opened Havana Cafe in Pasco on April 1.

The cafe was vandalized in July, but reopened in August.
