Green2Go, the Tri-Cities first full-service cannabis shop catering to both recreational and medical consumers, is celebrating 4/20 with big news: It is relocating its Pasco store to a more visible location.

Owners and founders Jessica Lee and Steve Lee plan to open the new Pasco location at 4525 Road 68, Suite J, at Burden Boulevard, in late April or early May.

Green2Go spent more than a year planning the move. It is waiting for final approval from licensing authorities. It will hold a grand opening.

The move gives the Pasco store better visibility at a site that is surrounded by popular destinations, including the Pasco Sporting Complex, Gesa Stadium and area hotels.

It is next to Smokey Tacos and Smoke City for Less, and directly across Road 68 from Lowe’s and Walmart.

“We’ve been intentional about how we grow,” Jessica Lee said. “With 4/20 being an important day in our industry, the timing felt like a natural opportunity to share this next phase of growth with the community.

April 20 is a counterculture holiday celebrating consuming cannabis and pushing for its legalization.

Green2Go is the oldest locally-owned cannabis retailer in the Tri-Cities. It opened in Finley as a medical dispensary in 2012 and expanded after Washington voters approved Initiative 502 legalizing recreational use.

The initiative passed with 55% of the statewide vote, but lost by a wide margin in both Benton and Franklin counties.

The measure’s unpopularity in the Tri-Cities led to local municipal bans that prevented stores from opening in Kennewick, Richland, West Richland and unincorporated Franklin County.

Benton County instituted a ban after several stores opened in unincorporated areas. The ban was not retroactive to existing locations.

Pasco dropped its ban in 2023 after a survey showed opposition was easing. Green2Go opened its first Pasco store on Road 90 and has several competitors, including Lucky Leaf Co. and The Pacific Outpost.
