Owner Isabelle Na was the first to stake a claim at the Port of Kennewick’s redevelopment project at the former municipal airport. Blueberry Bridal recently held its grand opening next door.

Construction for the 3,500-square-foot restaurant began on a cold, wet day in November 2024.

“Food is always with us,” Na said at the time. “I want to be a part of your life.”

The Port of Kennewick shut down the 103-acre former airport in 2013 and is working to redevelop it into an urban center with restaurants, retail, offices, services and residences.

Site sales began in 2022. Kuki Izakaya and Blueberry Bridal are the first to bring their projects to fruition.
