Cuba Libre food truck is moving

Yeny and Rafael Najarro Romero will move their Cuba Libre food truck to Columbia Gardens Artisan Village on the Kennewick waterfront shortly after Thanksgiving.

Cuba Libre makes its Columbia Gardens debut at 11 a.m., Dec. 2, at 325 E. Columbia Gardens Way, across from Zip’s, near the cable bridge.

The truck dishes up authentic Cuban food, based on recipes handed down through Yeni’s Cuban family. Croquettes, Cuban stews, sandwiches and coffee are favorites.

The Najarro Romero family opened the food truck in western Kennewick this spring, after purchasing and refurbishing the former Tumbleweeds Mexican Flair truck after it closed.

This month, it packed up and moved west, opening its store the week of Nov. 11 at 7201 W. Clearwater Ave. The new location is near O’Reilly Auto Parts.
