Openings: 14th Wake Up Call + Burlesque coffee in W. Richland

Wake Up Call Coffee is days away from opening its newest local coffee stand – it’s 14th in the Tri-Cities.

The Spokane coffee chain said it planned a late October or early November opening for the new drive-thru at 590 Gage Blvd., at Leslie Road in south Richland.

Wake Up Call redeveloped a 0.35-acre former gas station near Safeway and Greek Islands restaurant after the original building and fuel tanks were removed, and the site was cleaned up.

The opening coincides with intersection upgrades that began at Leslie and Gage on Oct. 20.

The city of Richland is updating the busy intersection with new sidewalks, wheelchair ramps and other features.

The city said the improvements already are finished on the Wake Up Call corner in anticipation of the new shop opening soon.

Workers now will be focused on the other three to minimize disruptions. Those should be complete by early November.
