Dutch Bros Coffee opened its seventh Tri-Cities location in time for shoppers needing an extra shot of caffeine to push through Black Friday deals.

The 4305 W. 27th Place location kicked off its grand opening with $1 from each drink sold on its first day donated to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.

The new Dutch Bros is just west of Highway 395 in Kennewick’s Southridge area, and features both the usual drive-thru and a walk-up service window.

It will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. under its trademark windmill logo on a giant coffee cup sign.

The company-owned store is the fourth Dutch Bros shop in Kennewick. Two shops are in Pasco and one is in Richland.

“We’re so excited to open a new shop and celebrate by supporting the Tri-Cities Cancer Center,” Shawn McElroy, local operator of Dutch Bros Kennewick, said in a news release. “We can’t wait to serve everyone today.”

The Cancer Center in Kennewick is a community resource for treatment, support, education and information, the release said.

“Their mission is ‘to provide and coordinate the highest quality, compassionate cancer care for the communities we serve.’”

Dutch Bros — with headquarters in Grants Pass, Ore. — is a drive-thru coffee chain with more than 500 locations in 11 states, all west of the Mississippi River.

It serves up specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, teas, private-label Dutch Bros Blue Rebel energy drinks and nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee.

“Dutch Bros is stoked to continue to share the ‘Dutch Luv’ with the Kennewick community through outstanding customer service and delicious drinks,” the news release said.

Coffee lovers and the company’s followers, known as the “Dutch Mafia,” can connect with Dutch Bros through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok.

Customers also can download the Dutch Bros app to earn points and score rewards.
