Alaska Airlines is dropping its daily flight between the Tri-Cities Airport and Burbank, Calif. just five months after it began flying the route.

Alaska dropped flights after April from its schedule over the weekend, Buck Taft, airport manager, confirmed.

Taft said the move does not affect Alaska’s plans to revive its dormant flight between Pasco and Portland in June.

Alaska also flies to Los Angeles International Airport.

Seattle-based Alaska began flying the Burbank run in late October, taking it over after Avelo Airlines exited the West Coast. It assigned a 76-seat Embraer to the run.

It could not be reached to comment on the schedule change. However, it comes just week after rival Allegiant Air began a new bi-weekly run between Pasco and the Orange County/John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, the airport closest to Disneyland.

The Tri-Cities Airport is owned and operated by the Port of Pasco. It is served by Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta and United.

Destinations include Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis, Phoenix and Los Angeles, with Portland to be added in June.

The airport reported a record of nearly 500,000 passengers boarding planes in 2025.
