Chapter of lay Franciscans may start in Tri-Cities, meeting set Nov. 7 to discuss

A chapter of Third Order Franciscans may start in the Tri-City area, and a meeting is planned Nov. 7 to answer questions and gauge interest.

The session is from 2 to 4 p.m. at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.

Third Order Franciscans are lay people who continue with their regular lives — live at home, work, etc. — but commit to “the shared discipline of a rule of life.”

It’s open to men and woman, married and single.
