On the tail of their one-year birthday celebration, the Kennewick Chick-fil-A is gearing up for Cow Appreciation Day.

On Tuesday, July 14, head to 7009 W Canal Dr. to chow down on a free entrée from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

There’s just one catch.

Kennewick location owner and operator, Dawn Hodges, says that costumes can be as elaborate as “a single spot to a whole ensemble.”

Options for breakfast include chicken biscuits or the minis and then lunch offerings span from a chicken sandwich to grilled nuggets to kids meals, according to Hodges.

There will also be photo opportunities with the cow mascot.

This deal will not be available on the app, but is available through the drive-thru and in store.

“We have to check out how awesome your costume is,” Hodges said.

Customers won’t be the only ones decked out for the day. Chick-fil-A team members will also be dressed to celebrate, in t-shirts, sunglasses and other creative flair.

This Cow Appreciation Day marks the comeback of a tradition, as the company hasn’t done one across the board since 2019, Hodges said.

“It’s just really fun to see how everybody gets very creative,” she said.
