Pretzels, brats and chicken dances at 49th Sausage Fest this weekend

Christ the King Catholic School hosts its 49th annual Sausage Fest benefit Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19 and 20.

The event is one of the largest annual gatherings in the Tri-Cities and features food booths, games for kids, live entertainment, an outdoor beer garden, bingo, a cash raffle and a middle school dance.

Most food is locally sourced.

Event hours are 5-11 p.m., Frisay, Sept. 19, and 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Sept. 20, at Christ the King, 1111 Stevens Drive, Richland.

The Ironman 70.3 competition in Richland and West Richland on Sunday is not expected to cause traffic issues for the annual event, say officials.

Christ the King is a Catholic school serving children in preschool through eighth grade.
