Water Follies, Art in the Park and 100+ other events in Tri-Cities this July

With some of the highest temperatures of the year, July also brings the peak of events and entertainment in Tri-Cities. There’s something fun and unique to do nearly every day, before even considering the regular weekly events like bar trivia, open mics, karaoke and game nights.

Two of the biggest outdoor events of the summer take place this month: Water Follies and Art in the Park.

▪ Water Follies

The 2025 Columbia Cup boat races and STCU Over-the-River Airshow will take place along the Columbia River between July 25 and 27. The park opens at 8 a.m. on Friday beginning with testing, and the first heat is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. The last dash on Friday is set to begin just after 5 p.m. Saturday’s schedule is similar to Friday. The park opens at 7 a.m. on Sunday, and the Columbia Cup race is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The Over-the-River Airshow is held at 11 a.m. each day.

There are numerous ticket options available. Three-day passes including pit access are $75. Weekender passes include admission for Saturday and Sunday, priced at $10 for youth passes and $60 for ages 13 and up. Saturday-only tickets are $30 for 13 and up and $10 for youth. Sunday-only tickets are $35 for 13 and up and $10 for youth. Children five and under are free.

▪ Art in the Park

The biggest art festival in the mid-Columbia Basin, Art in the Park draws over 78,000 people across its two-day event at Howard Amon Park, according to organizers. Free to attend, the festival takes place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 25 and 26, and features hundreds of vendors, live music, food trucks and more. Moonshot Brewery will host the beer garden.
