Coming off its first state championship, the Kamiakin Braves were ranked No. 3 on Wednesday at the 3A level in the first Associated Press prep football poll of the season.

The AP poll is voted upon by media across the state and released each Wednesday during the regular season.

In the Class 4A poll, Richland was ranked No. 3, while Chiawana came in at No. 10. Camas was ranked No. 1, while Sumner was No. 2.

Richland plays at Bellevue on Friday, while Chiawana hosts Moses Lake at 7 p.m. at Edgar Brown Stadium.
