Kennewick police have identified the suspect in Thursday night's shooting near the Benton County Fairgrounds.

Monica A. Arredondo, 19, is wanted in the shooting of Kaylee Vinson, 23, at a home on the 400 block of South Larch Street.

Officers found Vinson shortly after 7 p.m. in the front yard with a gunshot wound, said Kennewick Sgt. Joe Jackson.

She was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital and is recovering, officials said.

Vinson told arriving officers that the shooter and two other victims were inside the home.

The Tri-City Regional SWAT team searched the residence, but didn't find anyone.

Police said Vinson went to the residence with two other women to talk to Arredondo.

A disturbance broke out and Arredondo fired a shot at Vinson.

Arredondo is 5 feet 4 inches tall with long dark hair and brown eyes.

Jackson said the attack does not appear connected to an earlier drive-by shooting at the Clearwater Bay Apartments.

Police are asking anyone with any information about the shooting to call Kennewick police at 509-628-0333.
