Adam Hughesman suspended by ECHL
The ECHL on Friday suspended Adam Hughesman of the Las Vegas Wranglers two games and fined him an undisclosed amount for his actions in a Dec. 12 game at Colorado.
Hughesman was fined and suspended under Rule No. 28 — Supplementary Discipline. No exact reason for the punishment was listed. Hughesman did not have any penalty minutes in the game against Colorado.
Hughesman will miss Las Vegas’ game vs. Bakersfield on Sunday and at Ontario on Dec. 19.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Hughesman, a former Tri-City American, has been having a good rookie season, scoring six goals with eight assists in 23 games. He has 68 shots on goal and just nine penalty minutes.
