Calling all wrestling fans

The 13th annual Best of the West wrestling tournament is Dec. 21-22 at Pasco High School. Teams duals will be Friday, while individual matches are Saturday.

There are 36 teams from Washington, Oregon and Idaho scheduled to compete. Matches begin each day at 9 a.m.

Tournament directors are looking for volunteers to do statistics and run the clocks. Volunteers also are needed for various other duties.

It takes about $11,000 and 100 volunteers to make the event a success each year. An increase in sponsors and donations have helped the event show a small profit the last few years.
