New leader in the MCC football clubhouse
Last weekend was a big one on the Mid-Columbia Conference football scene for producing season-high performances.
Kennewick running back Devven Ramos rumbled for 303 yards against Walla Walla on Thursday to put a new No. 1 rushing game on top of the heap, displacing Jonah Hoe’s 276-yard effort in Week 3 vs. Davis.
Wa-Hi’s Hoe had 29 carries in the game despite being banged up and has three of the top six totals win carries (36, 31 and 29). The Blue Devils senior is in the top 10 for rushing yards, carries and touchdowns seven times. Hanford’s Jalen DeVine is on those lists six times, and Ramos and Chiawana’s Clifton Lozano five times apiece.
The other high-game performance to come out of the weekend was by Kamiakin receiver Javan Williams, whose 12 catches and 172 yards against Richland are single-game highs for the season.
Kamiakin, far and away the passing leader in the Mid-Col, dominates the throwing stats: QB Kylle Robertson has the top three yardage games and 14 top-10 performances combined in four different categories (not counting his two three-interception games, also MCC highs).
