9:18 p.m. - Natilee Ruiz is 6-for-6 in state races. Ruiz won the 100 free in 51.00, ending the two-year reign of Anacortes senior Katie Kaestner (52.63). Prosser's Hailey Rankin was the runner-up in the 100 fly and 500 free. Great showing from the Mid-Columbia 2A duo.

4:53 p.m. - Lisa Bratton couldn't make it two state titles on the day. The Richland sophomore faded to fifth in the 500 freestyle, won by Amber Cratsenberg of Thomas Jefferson in 4:57.55. Bratton's time was 5:08.29. Nicole Weinman of Richland was eighth. In 4A diving, Moses Lake senior Sammy Hendrickson slipped from fourth after the prelims down to eighth, but she still medaled.

3:04 p.m. - Richland's Lisa Bratton is the 4A state champion in the 200 individual medley, winning in a season-best 2:03.70, two seconds better than runner-up Megan Kawaguchi of Mt. Rainier. That's an automatic All-America time for Bratton, who has the 500 free coming up later.
2:51 p.m. - The 4A competition is underway. The Richland 200 medley relay team finished sixth and will receive medals momentarily. Skyline got off to a blistering start, winning in 1:47.22, good for All-America consideration. Up next is the 200 individual medley, featuring Richland sophomore Lisa Bratton, the top seed in the event.

1:04 p.m. - Hanford held off Mercer Island to win the 400 free relay in 3:34.48. Two state titles on the day for the Falcons and the relay team of Linnea Peacock, Melissa Merrill, Stephanie Tixier and Lisa Tixier. Congratulations to Hanford, which finished third in the team standings behind defending champion Mercer Island and Bainbridge.
12:57 p.m. - Mercer Island's Grace Wold and Bainbridge's Greg Colby have been named the 3A Swimmer and Coach of the Meet. The A final is left to go in the 400 free relay. Hanford is seeded second.
12:45 p.m. - In the 100 backstroke, the B final winner, Talisa Wibmer of Hazen, had a faster time than the A final winner, Mackenna Briggs of Liberty. Wibmer went 58.51 to Briggs' 58.62. Just goes to show you how crucial a good preliminary time is.
12:33 p.m. - Hanford just got its first-place medals for the 200 free relay. Southridge also was on the podium after finishing eighth. In the team standings, Hanford sits in third place with two events to go.
12:17 p.m. - We have ourselves a state champion. Hanford's 200 free relay team of Melissa Merrill, Stephanie Tixier, Lisa Tixier and Linnea Peacock wins in 1:38.46. The Falcons also took the title last year.
12:14 p.m. - Props to Hanford for picking Muse's "Uprising" as the walkin music for the 200 free relay.
12:10 p.m. - Hanford's Mylie Oberg won the B final in the 500 free, finishing at 5:20.90. Hanford's top-seeded 200 free relay team competing next.
11:47 a.m. - Two third-place finishes for Hanford, with Melissa Merrill in the 100 free and Stephanie Tixier in the 100 butterfly. Kennewick's Hailey Murphy finished seventh in the fly. Danielle Freund of Southridge was the Mid-Columbia's top finisher in diving, placing 11th.
10:50 a.m. - Southridge's Alisha Sanchez finished fifth in the 50 free. She and Hanford's Stephanie Tixier will be on the medal podium with the others in the top eight. Diving going on right now.
10:39 a.m. - Stephanie Tixier of Hanford just took second to Meadowdale's Anna Keane in the 50 free. Keane won in a blazing automatic All-America time of 23.50. Waiting to find out where Southridge's Alisha Sanchez ranks.
10:37 a.m. - Hanford's Melissa Merrill finished fifth in the 200 individual medley. Winner Grace Wold of Mercer Island finished in an automatic All-America time of 2:02.50.
10:13 a.m. - In the 200 medley relay, the order of finish is Bainbridge, Mercer Island, Holy Names, Hazen, Southridge, Liberty, Hanford and Camas.
