Americans fall 4-1 at Prince George
The Tri-City Americans gave up a pair of power-play goals in the first and second periods, losing to the host Prince George Cougars 4-1 in WHL action Saturday night.
Michael Rasmussen got the Americans (3-2-1-0, 7 points) on the board in the third with his first WHL goal off a deflection shot from Brandon Carlo. But Brad Morrison scooped up a loose puck in front of the Tri-City goal and found the net to give Prince George (2-3-0-0, 4 points) a 3-1 edge. The Cougars tacked on an empty-netter to cap the scoring.
The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Tri-City, which returns home for a Wednesday game against the Prince Albert Raiders.
