Americans top Prince George 5-2
Evan Sarthou stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced, and the Tri-City Americans got goals from five different players Friday night to score a 5-2 road win over Prince George in WHL action.
Parker Bowles scored on the power play toward the end of the first period with an assist form Beau McCue to tie the score a 1-all. The Ams took control in the second despite being outshot by the Cougars 17-6 in the period. Brandon Carlo scored 28 seconds in, and Taylor Vickerman added another power-play tally three minutes later.
After the hosts pulled within a goal in the third, Kyle Olson and McCue tacked on scores for the final margin.
