Tri-City Americans drop final game of road trip to Everett
The Tri-City Americans ended their six-game road trip Thursday with a 4-2 loss to the Everett Silvertips at Xfinity Arena.
Eetu Tuulola scored two goals for the Silvertips, who were ranked sixth in this week’s CHL poll. Carter Hart finished with 21 saves for Everett, which leads the U.S. Division at 10-2-2-0 (20 points).
Morgan Geekie and Nolan Yaremko each scored for Tri-City, which also got two assists from Kyle Olson. Beck Warm recorded 24 saves.
The Americans (8-6-1-0, 17 points), who were 3-2-1-0 on their road trip, will host Victoria on Friday. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
Tied at 1-1 after the first, Everett got goals from Tuulola and Riley Sutter in the second to give the Silvertips a 3-1 lead.
Tuulola scored his second of the night at 3:36 of the third for a 4-1 lead.
Yaremko scored with 4:54 left in regulation on the power play, but that would be as close as the Americans would get.
In their four games this season, Tri-City and Everett each have won twice.
