The Tri-Cities Fever were hoping to ride the momentum from last week’s win over Colorado when they took on Wichita Falls on Saturday night.
The Fever led 23-20 at the half, but were outscored 24-12 in the second half as the host Nighthawks ran their win streak to four games with a 44-35 victory.
The teams traded scores in the third quarter, leaving Wichita Falls (4-1) with a 37-35 lead as the game rolled into the fourth quarter.
That’s when things went sideways for the Fever (2-4).
