Sioux Falls wins another IFL title
Quarterback Chris Dixon passed for 157 yards and six touchdowns, and rushed for another 83 yards and scored two TDs himself to lead the host Sioux Falls Storm to a 63-46 victory over the Nebraska Danger in the United Bowl on Saturday.
Dixon’s 23-yard TD pass to James Terry with just 1:18 left in the first half broke a 14-all tie, and gave the Storm the lead for good.
Terry finished with eight catches for 94 yards and five touchdown receptions.
Nebraska quarterback Jameel Sewell passed for 187 yards and five TDs in the loss.
Sioux Falls linebacker Tyler Knight led the Storm defensively with 12 tackles, including a quarterback sack.
It was the Storm’s fourth consecutive Indoor Football League title.
