Fever rout Cavalry 94-30
The Tri-Cities Fever may be on the brink of elmination from the Indoor Football League playoffs, but the players aren’t letting that stop them from playing well.
The Fever rolled over the visiting Wyoming Cavalry 94-30 on Saturday night at the Toyota Center to even its season record at 6-6.
Tri-Cities jumped out to a 35-0 lead and never looked back.
Keithon Flemming scored on a 5-yard TD run to open the run.
Dante Warren made it 14-0 Tri-Cities with a 2-yard score.
Flemming answered 5 minutes later with a 5-yard TD run, and Steven Whitehead caught a 23-yard scoring pass from Houston Lillard to finish the first-quarter scoring for a 28-0 lead.
Warren found his way into the end zone for another 1-yard run and a 35-0 lead early in the second quarter.
Flemming finished with 103 yards rushing on 13 carries. He also scored three touchdowns.
Jackie Chambers caught five passes for 76 yards.
Fever quarterback Houston Lillard was 12 of 14 passing for 122 yards and four TD passes. He also caught a touchdown pass from Dante Warren.
The Fever has a bye next week before travelling to Wyoming on June 6.
Tri-Cities ends its season with a June 14 home game against the Colorado Ice.
