Fever's Singleton wins IFL community service award

Tri-Cities Fever defensive back Lionell Singleton was named the recipient of the 2013 Adam Pringle Award by the Indoor Football League on Thursday.

The Adam Pringle Award is given to the player or coach who exemplified outstanding service and dedication to their surrounding community.

Singleton’s after-school program, The Next Level of Academics and Athletics, helps elementary and middle school students keep up with their grades and in a safe environment.

Not only a great person off the field, Singleton has enjoyed success on the field as well, earning a first-team All-IFL defense selection for the second consecutive season. Singleton finished the 2013 season with 90 tackles, nine interceptions, one returned for a touchdown, and eight pass break-ups.
