FEVER: Killeen to work out with Colts

Tri-Cities Fever defensive end Jake Killeen has been asked by the Indianapolis Colts to come in for a workout.

Killeen will fly into Indianapolis on Monday and then work out on Tuesday with the Colts, who open the playoffs this Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens.

If Killeen performs well and the Colts end up offering him a contract, he would be signed to a Futures Contract and brought into training camp in July.

Killeen, at 6-foot-3, 265 pounds, has been one of the top defensive ends in the IFL the past two seasons and has been a big part in leading the Fever to back-to-back Intense Conference championships.

In 2012, he played in 15 games, leading the team with 10.5 sacks, forcing three fumbles to go with one interception.

In 2011, Killeen had three sacks and one interception in eight games.
