Mid-Columbia sports briefs: Richland National tops Yakima in Little League district

Youth baseball

Jacob Bilodeau and Mason Howes combined to pitch a one-hitter for the Richland National Little League 12U All-Stars in their 10-0 win over Yakima National LL in the District 12 all-star tournament in Pasco.

Bilodeau pitched two innings, and Howes came in for the final three. They each struck out six and walked one.

Kaden Bradshaw hit two home runs, and Deacon Boyce, Kenyon Coleman and Zac Howard also homered for Richland National, which will face West Valley at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Pasco National LL fields.

The Maxwell Football Club announced Washington State quarterback Luke Falk and wide receiver Gabe Marks were named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which is given to the nation’s college player of the year.
