Serkowski was one of 14 Tigers honored, including outfielder Jeremy Wolf, who was named the conference’s player of the year.

The Tigers (35-7) won their fourth consecutive SCAC title with an 8-3 victory over Southwestern University on May 1 and earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III playoffs.

▪ Connor Moore (Richland) allowed one hit and struck out three in a scoreless 2 1/3 innings of relief to help Seattle University defeat Washington State 7-4 on Wednesday at Bellevue’s Bannerwood Park.

At DH, Eskil had 43 hits and scored 22 runs in 47 games for the Saints (15-33).

Football

Several Tri-Cities Fever players will stop by for lunch Thursday at Stevens Middle School in Pasco.

The players’ visit was the top prize in the United Way “Attendance Matters” contest at the Fever’s March 5 game. Stevens had more students check in at the United Way table at the game than any other Tri-City middle school.

The players will arrive at Stevens at 10:15 a.m. and talk with students about setting goals and getting a good education. The Fever players will sign autographs, take pictures and play a flag football game with anyone interested.

▪ The Tri-Cities Fever will hold a youth football camp from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at Toyota Center.

The camp is for players 5-13 years old. The cost is $25. Preregistration is encouraged but not required.

Children will participate in football skill drills, and they will play a flag football game with the Fever players and coaches.

Each child will receive a free ticket to Saturday’s game against the Billings Wolves.
