BASEBALL
▪ The Batters Box is taking registration for the Winter Baseball Academy. Call 783-5160.
▪ Meeting for all baseball players interested in trying out for the Kennewick Outlaws Senior Legion team will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at Roy Johnson Field. Meeting will be for information purposes. The first round of tryouts will be held at 10 a.m. April 3 at Roy Johnson Field. This round will be for all players who attend Kennewick or Southridge High School, players from last year who have eligibility remaining and players who have Form 77 completed or Form 76 signed. The final round of tryouts will be at 10 a.m. April 24 at Roy Johnson Field. This round will be open to all players looking to play Senior Legion baseball. If you are coming from another organization, you must have Form 76 signed.

SOCCER
▪ Pasco Recreation Services is offering a Mini-Kickers Soccer Clinic for children ages 4-5. The sessions are from 4:15-5 p.m. Tuesdays (Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23) in the Pasco Senior Center’s multipurpose room. The program will teach basic soccer skills through games and activities while developing strength, balance, coordination, listening skills, cooperation and teamwork. The sessions will be held indoors, so participants should wear shin guards and tennis shoes; no cleats allowed. The cost is $28 for Pasco residents and $35 for nonresidents. TARGET SHOOTING
▪ The Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility Rose-Iris General Purpose Range is open to the public for weekly target shooting from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesdays and Friday-Sunday. Located near milepost 8 on State Route 225, north of Benton City. Each adult non-member shooter must pay a $10 fee. Persons under 18 years old may shoot for free when accompanied by a parent, guardian or grandparent. The Tri-Cities Shooting Association provides a staff of trained Range Safety Officers.
