▪ The Tri Cities Shooting Association (TCSA) teamed up with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) to sponsor an Open House at the Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility on Sept 26 to celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day. The public is invited to observe the many shooting venues that are available through the TCSA and to obtain material from the WDFW staff on Hunter Education classes, the Master Hunter Program, and Hunting in Washington. Saturday Sept. 26, the Rose-Iris and the Shotgun ranges will be open for public participation from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. See how to get there at www.tcsa.info. The High Power range will be staffed and open for the free annual Hunter Sight-in day open to the public. A Cowboy Action Match is also scheduled for that day and will take up most of the pistol bays, but is a perfect event for observers to see the action. A WDFW trailer will be used for sign-in and safety briefings at the Hunter Education Range. The WDFW staff will work with TCSA staff to coordinate a Hunter Education forum using six positions on the Hunter Education range. That will leave 14 positions on the Hunter Education range to put up stages to demonstrate Practical Pistol, 3-Gun, and Steel Shooting venues. ▪ The Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility Rose-Iris General Purpose Range is open to the public for weekly target shooting from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesdays and Friday-Sunday. Located near milepost 8 on State Route 225, north of Benton City. Each adult non-member shooter must pay a $10 fee. Persons under 18 years old may shoot for free when accompanied by a parent, guardian or grandparent. The Tri-Cities Shooting Association provides a staff of trained Range Safety Officers. The Shotgun Trap and Skeet Ranges are open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 1-9 p.m. Wednesday. Visit www.tcsa.info for details.

▪ Beginning Yoga course begins Oct. 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. It’s an eight-week series and introduce yoga’s philosophical system, basic sitting and standing poses and alignment fundamentals. Students will learn beginning prop use, preparatory work, and modifications. Please pre-register. Cost is $95.
