Elite Ambitions holding free football camp Saturday at Kamiakin

With football season just around the corner, Elite Ambitions Training will be holding a community football camp Saturday at Kamiakin High School.

The event is free for boys and girls ages 6-14 and the first 100 campers will receive a free T-shirt. The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

Elite Ambitions owner Steve Whitehead will run the camp, with help from NFL trainers Deon Hodges, Brandon Robinson and Dominic Frazier.

“The past few years we have held a camp and people have paid for it,” Whitehead said. “I have trained a few NFL players and one of them had a free camp and about 400 kids signed up. We only announced this three days ago, and we have 112 kids singed up. We are about giving back. We wanted to do something different. It will be pretty fun.”

Though the camp is free, registration is mandatory and can be found at: eliteambitions.pike13.com. Create an account and click on the camps/clinic tab at the top of the page.

“We will have a DJ, we will be giving away prizes and handing out nutritional information,” Whitehead said. “We have had a lot of people in the community step up and help us out.”
