Mid-Columbia roundup: Burke leads Walla Walla CC in NWAC volleyball tourney opener
Walla Walla Community College rallied from two sets down to beat Tacoma 17-25, 21-25, 25-14, 25-19, 17-15 in the first round of the NWAC volleyball tournament Thursday in Tacoma.
Dani Burke (Kamiakin) had 24 assists and seven digs for the Warriors (27-8), who will play Clark at 10 a.m. Friday in the quarterfinals. Clark (28-9) beat Skagit Valley 3-2.
Morgan Ness led WWCC with 20 kills, while Lindsey Carpenter added 14 kills and Tori Wagdahl 42 digs.
