The Stanley Cup final began in rollercoaster fashion on Tuesday.

Nikolaj Ehlers revved up the Carolina Hurricanes crowd with two goals early on in Game 1, but the Vegas Golden Knights scored three unanswered.

Carolina tied the game twice, but the Golden Knights ultimately prevailed 5-4 to take a 1-0 series lead in the final.

Vegas is the first road team in NHL history to open the Stanley Cup final with a multi-goal comeback win.
