Dust Devils top Spokane 8-2 in NWL action
Angel Mejia turned in a strong six innings to earn his sixth win, and the Tri-City Dust Devils beat the Spokane Indians 8-2 in Northwest League baseball Saturday night at Gesa Stadium.
The Dust Devils took control with three runs in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth,; unfortunately, all five came against Spokane reliever and former Hanford High standout Dan Scheibe.
Kodie Tidwell and Justin Pacchioli singled with the bases loaded to give Tri-City a 4-2 lead after four. Ty France’s leadoff double set the table in the fifth as the lead bulged to five runs.
The two teams wrap up the regular season at 7:15 p.m. Sunday.
