Dust Devils fall 4-1 to Everett AquaSox
The Tri-City Dust Devils fell behind by four runs after four innings Friday and couldn’t make their way back in a 4-1 Northwest League loss to the host Everett AquaSox.
The Dust Devils have eight games remaining in the regular season before the NWL Divisional playoffs begin Sept. 7. Tri-City needs to find some momentum, however, after its ninth loss in the last 13 games.
Corey Simpson hit an RBI grounder, and Ryan Uhl had a two-run single as Everett took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the third. Taylor Zeutenhorst hit his first home run of the year in the fourth to make it 4-0.
Tri-City got on the board in the top of the fifth thanks to Rod Boykin’s solo home run, his third of the season.
