Mariners Draft Tracker: Every Seattle selection from the 2026 MLB Draft

The News Tribune is tracking every Seattle Mariners selection from the 2026 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

DAY 1 — Rounds 1-4

Round 1 (24th overall)3B Ace Reese, Mississippi State

Mariners Vice President of Amateur Scouting Scott Hunter: “The information that comes back from our analysts show that (Ace’s) probably one of the top three hitters in the country, and it profiles as a guy that’s going to go out and have success right away. … I don’t want to put a timetable on a player, but to do the things he was doing in the SEC, which is a totally different animal of baseball these days for college sports, it’s really impressive.”

2026 Stats: .336/.432/.721, 24 HR, 74 RBI, 41 BB, 63 K

Round 2 (65th overall) — OF Jake Brown, Louisiana State

Hunter: “We do think he can play center field. We think the bat’s on the rise. … (Former LSU pitcher and current Mariners prospect Kade Anderson) texted me today just saying, ‘You guys are actually pretty smart up there.’”

2026 Stats: .309/.404/.642, 16 HR, 49 RBI, 23 BB, 9 SB

Round 3 (101st overall) — RHP Nathan Taylor, Cincinnati

Hunter: “He’s big. He’s physical. He throws a ton of strikes, he misses a ton of bats. … Obviously, over the last 10 years, we gravitate to guys that do things like that, that command the strike zone. I don’t want to say it’s a simple formula, but when you see guys that are able to do that… It’s an easy pick for me. It sounded like Nate was pretty excited about it, as well.”

2026 Stats: 7-3, 4.25 ERA (90 IP), 115 K, 27 BB

Round 4 (129th overall) — 3B Trevor Lucas, UNC Wilmington

Hunter: “Our (scout) said he’s like Ben Williamson-lite. … Makes good swing decisions, makes a ton of contact. We do believe he’s a plus defender at third base, and there is some hope that he might be able to move around the field a little bit.”

2026 Stats: .312/.429/.556, 12 HR, 56 RBI, 38 BB, 9 SB

DAY 2 — Rounds 5-20

Round 5 (162nd overall) — OF Hayden Yost, Florida

Round 6 (191st overall) — 3B Henry Ford, Tennessee

Round 7 (220th overall) — SS Ryan Wynn, Georgia

Round 8 (250th overall) — C Mason Eckelman, Ohio State

Round 9 (280th overall) — RHP Drew Whalen, Auburn

Round 10 (310th overall) — 2B Eric Jeon, Stanford
