Mid-Columbia wrestling, bowling for Jan. 26: Kamiakin clinches MCC regular-season title on mat
Sophomore Riley Gurr ran his season record to 35-0 with a second-round pin of Joshua Pettyjohn as the Kamiakin wrestlers wrapped up the Mid-Columbia Conference season title with a 50-17 home win over Walla Walla on Tuesday night.
Gurr, a state runner-up last year at 106 pounds, posted his 26th pin of the year.
“We just showed up tonight,” Kamiakin coach Jordan Anderson said. “We clinched the league title, and that was awesome for us.”
The Braves (6-0 MCC) will host Southridge on Thursday.

Pasco’s Victor Ramirez earned a 16-0 technical fall over Ethan Vogtman at 113.
