RESER’S TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS: Three-time OSAA state champion Sam Colbray of Hermiston won his first-day matches by pin to reach Saturday’s semifinals in Hillsboro.
Wrestling at 195 pounds, Colbray pinned North Medford’s Josh Robbins in 1:57 and Sprague’s Justin Vazquez-Ellis in 1:16. His next opponent is Carson Raymond of Crook County.
Bulldogs teammates Valen Wyse (152) and Bob Coleman (182) also will compete in the semifinals.
PASCO SPLITS: The Bulldogs lost to Othello 42-27 and beat Warden 42-36 on Thursday in a matchup of three of the top girls programs in the state.
Pasco’s triple threat of Hailey Hall (135 pounds), Dannie Gibson (140) and Natalie Hall (145) each won two matches via pin. Jessie Lobos at 155 won with a pin and received a forfeit.
