Hermiston’s Joey Delgado ousted from NCAA Wrestling Championships
After going 1-1 on the first day of the NCAA Wrestling Championships, Oregon State 149-pounder Joey Delgado lost his Day 2 opener 6-1 to Matthew Zovistoski of Appalachian State on Friday in St. Louis.
Delgado had pinned Zovistoski earlier this season.
The loss ends Delgado’s season and his collegiate career. The four-time state champion for Hermiston went 19-12 this season and was 82-50 in four years at Oregon State.
