A night after dropping their Mid-Columbia Conference opener at Richland, the Kamiakin Braves regrouped Wednesday to knock off host Pasco 25-15, 10-25, 25-16, 14-25, 15-9.
“It was a totally different team, it seems” Kamiakin coach Morgan Schauble said. “It was a good match. It was fun to battle it out.”
Pasco coach Jackie Fluaitt agreed.
“It was a fun match,” Fluaitt said. “There were great things happening on both sides of the net. Kamiakin is always a powerhouse. We are still learning how to win. It’s exciting though. We will get it together.”
Madison Judy had 12 kills for the Braves, while Raegan Bishop had 32 digs and Kennedy Sarver 36 assists.
Catelyn Linke led the Bulldogs with 17 kills, while Ashlin Orosco had 16 and Victoria Estes 35 assists.
“We just played very emotional,” Fluaitt said. “It was our home opener. It was a nice crowd and the school kids were there. We have stuff to work on. It’s the beginning the season, we will go back to the drawing board and make it happen.”
Pasco will play at Richland on Tuesday, while Kamiakin is at Hanford.
