VOLLEYBALL: Southridge to open Class 3A state tourney against Bishop Blanchet
The Southridge volleyball team will begin its state title quest at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Martin’s University in Lacey.
The Suns will open the 3A state tournament against Bishop Blanchet at 1:30 p.m., and if they win that match they would play at 6:45 p.m. Friday against the winner of Oak Harbor and Eastside Catholic.
Southridge won the 3A regional tournament on Saturday on its home court.
Meanwhile, in the 1A tournament that begins at the Yakima SunDome on Friday, Connell will open play against Lynden Christian at 11:30 a.m.
In the 2B tournament, Tri-Cities Prep will open at 8 a.m. Friday in the SunDome against LaConner, while Lind-Ritzville-Sprague plays Kittitas at 9:45 a.m.
In the 1B tournament, also in the SunDome, Sunnyside Christian opens play at 8 a.m. Friday against Almira Coulee Hartline.
